an ignored sad reality
we have grown subconsciously thinking that the earth is something that we as a species posses. we think that it is something that we own. but being a slave to growing our economy, we have self destructed our chance at a wonderful future. we have officially sacrificed the earth that which was never ours because we have always been the earths. if we don’t let go of the idea of the “me generation” it may let us, along with the rest of the eco system survive. but until we as a whole can come together and stop thinking “someone else” will fix what everyone has done, our future generations will never survive. let’s let go of the “me generation” and move forward to make a beautiful sustainable future. i plan to reduce my carbon foot print this year and put time not only into bring money in for myself, but to put down my phone, ipod, laptop and limit my tv time so i can connect with my community and get back to nature. i plan to be more aware of what i purchase more carefully and start buy local produce. i want to break away from the “me generation” and help create the “our generation”.
